Cybersecurity Center for Research and Education
About the Center
Founded and directed by computer science professor Rob Beverly, the center fosters innovative research that confronts today’s most important cybersecurity issues.
As a collaboration between the College of Sciences, College of Engineering, Fowler College of Business, Division of Research & Innovation, Graduate Program in Homeland Security, and Information Technology Division, the center aims to expand SDSU’s educational curriculum on key cyber issues from digital forensics to embedded systems security. The center not only contributes essential research on emerging areas such as AI, but also trains the next generation of cybersecurity professionals for this rapidly growing and evolving field.
The Center was created due to the vision of President de la Torre, with the support and collaboration of: SDSU's Provost and Executive Vice President, Vice President for Research and Innovation, CIO and Vice President for IT, and the Deans of Sciences, Engineering, and Business.
