About the CCRE
The SDSU Cybersecurity Center for Research and Education (CCRE) engages students and a world-class interdisciplinary faculty to tackle critical national and societal cybersecurity challenges, and serves as a catalyst in Southern California to produce high-quality and diverse cybersecurity professionals and researchers.
In the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity, the CCRE was formed in recognition of:
- the acute need for a skilled cybersecurity workforce with state-of-the-art and transferable knowledge;
- the inherent inter-disciplinary nature of cybersecurity, and;
- the inextricable link between research and education.

Mission
The CCRE serves as a focal point to coalesce and coordinate cybersecurity research and education activities and initiatives across SDSU colleges.
Vision
The CCRE seeks to create new educational pathways, engage a diverse student population, contribute to regional workforce needs, and produce state-of-the-art cybersecurity research.
